Emi Kiyota, PhD, founder and director of Ibasho, an organization that facilitates the co-creation with elders of socially integrated, sustainable communities that value their elders, will explore how she works toward this mission and create resilient cities where elders are engaged and able to actively participate in their communities.
Many LGBT older adults are not comfortable with letting others know about their sexual orientation or gender identity. This first of a two-part series webinar examines how this affects those who are especially vulnerable--including those of advanced age, those living in poverty, people of color, and older adults living in rural areas. This webinar examines the complex issues surrounding how LGBT older adults have created ways to keep themselves safe over the years and how those accommodations impact their access to health care and social services.

Day one of workshop consists of an overview of the Green House model and other services provided by the organization (incluing a tour of a Green House home), while day two takes a much deeper dive into the key factors that affect the development, financial viability, and ROI of Green House homes.
